Langston Hughes

Langston Hughes was an American poet, playwright, and novelist. Hughes was a major figure in the Harlem Renaissance. He mainly wrote about Black American life, culture, and art. Hughes was able to use his language and storytelling to capture the complex culture, experience, suffering, and joy of Black Americans during a critical time in the history of America.
